People across Greater Shepparton can now access free, life-saving naloxone at any time of the day or night, with a new naloxone dispensing machine installed at Primary Care Connect.
Naloxone is a safe, easy-to-use medication that temporarily reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, giving people valuable time while emergency services are called. It is effective for overdoses involving heroin, fentanyl, morphine and other opioids, and is available as an easy-to-use nasal spray.
