A $150,000 three-year commitment from Tatura Pedals and Steps has delivered a major boost to GV Health Foundation’s ‘I Care for Cancer Care @ GV Health’ appeal and created a new opportunity for the community to help build momentum for an Integrated Cancer Centre.
The commitment brings the total funds raised and confirmed pledges to more than $1,227,000 towards the appeal’s $5M target.
Formerly known as Tat200, Tatura Pedals and Steps has brought the community together for 16 years. Since its inception in 2008, the event has raised more than $1.25M for local causes across the Goulburn Valley.
“We are incredibly grateful to Tatura Pedals and Steps for their commitment to the I Care for Cancer Care @ GV Health appeal,” said Acting GV Health Foundation Board Chair Ella Cannon.
“This remarkable $150,000 pledge will help us continue working towards a future where local people diagnosed with cancer can access more of the treatment, support services and facilities they need, closer to home.”
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 3. Community members are encouraged to
ride, run or walk, fundraise, sponsor a participant or donate, with proceeds supporting the I Care for Cancer Care @ GV Health appeal.
“For more than 15 years, Tatura Pedals and Steps has united participants, volunteers and sponsors
behind causes that make a real difference across the Goulburn Valley,” said Bega Group Executive General Manager Bulk Nutritionals and Ingredients Hamish Reid.
“This project will help more local families access cancer care closer to home, surrounded by the
support networks that matter most.”
