Reflection and gratitude
A message from Jeremy Rensford, Chair of Greater Shepparton Ministers’ Association
Well just like that – another year has passed us by! I thought it would be good to reflect on the year that was and thank all the Adviser readers for your support.

From a personal perspective, a lot has happened last year. I must mention our great local organisation, Shepparton Foodshare. Last year saw a dream finally realised, us moving into our very own “forever home”. Such a crucial next step in seeing those in need having ongoing access to food. Well done to all involved! A quick update – last year was my last as chairperson, it’s been an honour to help lead the organisation for the last six years or so through a worldwide pandemic and worst ever local floods, to stability and ongoing relevance. I’ll continue to remain on the board as a director, thanks to everyone who supported me in that crucial role, I’m most grateful for your ongoing support.
In the churches space, we continue to see clergy and our churches have an appetite to work together. This is such a welcome change from what has historically, at times, been more of an individual approach to loving our local community. We are so much better together, and I applaud each local Christian who has been willing to unite with other Christians and other churches, regardless of denomination or affiliation, dropping minor differences for the greater good of our community. Let’s keep that momentum swinging in the right direction!
I hope to see you in 2026, and thanks to each of you who catch me down the street and mention these articles, again, your support is appreciated.
Blessings to all,
Jeremy.
