Actively modernising, expanding and deepening its commitment to the Shepparton community and local industry, Central Tyre Service has long harnessed its team’s exceptional and long-serving expertise and know-how. By continuing to invest in cutting-edge technology and backed by a mutually respectful brand partnership with Goodyear, the business consistently reinforces its long-standing reputation for quality, reliability and service excellence.

Handling a consistently high volume of customers daily, co-director Tim Webb is passionate about holding customer satisfaction with the business’s suite of services as paramount. Employing 16 full-timers and two casuals, the business has steadily reinvested in technology, equipment, vehicles and staff training to ensure this central tenet is upheld.

“We continually invest in the latest equipment to ensure top-tier service, including advanced wheel alignment machines, reliable hoist lifting systems, cutting-edge diagnostic tools and new service trucks. We’re also looking to add a flush-mount alignment hoist to streamline operations and accommodate larger vehicles,” Tim said.

Proud of the quality of its work and overseen by Tim, who leverages 26 years of experience as a mechanic and diagnostician, the business remains competitive and proficient across all aspects of its operations.

“We’re not cheaper, but we’re no more expensive than anyone else doing mechanical work. Sometimes we absorb more labour to keep our team learning. If a job takes six hours now, we aim for five next time. It’s about balancing fair pricing, ongoing training and putting the customer first. Furthermore, fitting the right tyre isn’t just about size or load rating, it’s about performance, safety and longevity. That’s why we fit to spec and every wheel is torqued by hand with a calibrated wrench. No shortcuts, just proper workmanship,” Tim said.

By continuing to deliver excellent customer service, recognising that customer satisfaction is the foundation of a stable and successful business; while maintaining strong product supply and ensuring competitive pricing, Central Tyre Service aims to stay ahead in a highly competitive industry.
