AS of late last week, region-wide water storage levels stand at 95.16%, with a volume of 10,859,836ML. This is a significant figure when compared to the total capacity of 11,412,708ML.

Focusing on specific regions, Lake Eildon is currently at 98.35% of its full capacity with a volume of 3,279,251ML, a slight decrease from 99.64% around the same time last year. Similarly, Lake Eppalock has seen a decrease to 90.78% with a volume of 276,569ML from last year’s 100.91%.

In contrast, Goulburn Weir’s current level is 97.77% with a volume of 24,931ML, showing a slight increase from last year’s 95.21%. Waranga Basin has also seen an increase to 92.67% with a volume of 400,689ML from 89.78% last year.

Lake Nillahcootie is almost at full capacity at 98.94% with a volume of 39,973ML, a slight decrease from last year’s 100.59%.

While there are slight fluctuations in the water storage levels compared to the previous year, most regions remain close to full capacity. The data underscores the importance of continuous monitoring and efficient water management strategies to ensure sustainable water use.
