Dear Editor,
I watched the Nicholls Candidate forum organised by the Committee for Echuca Moama online and I would observe that amongst the grandstanding, negativity and conspiracy theories, there was only one speaker who talked clearly and concisely about actual issues and projects in Nicholls, and real solutions.
That was the Nationals candidate, Sam Birrell. I was curious as to how the Nationals would go when Damian Drum, who has served the electorate well, decided to retire. They appear to have found themselves a highly capable and dynamic candidate, and this should bode well for them in the upcoming election.
