Matt Sharp GV Health Chief Executive

The Goulburn Valley community have again shown resiliency and support for one another in hard times and this past year has been no exception.

From care and food packages for our staff, to words of encouragement and understanding when some of our services were operating at reduced capacity, we have received incredible support from the community in the past 12 months and we thank you for it.

We continue to work on providing high quality access to services and care across the region which has included our partnership with the Dyson Bus Group in Shepparton to deliver vaccines to surrounding towns in the Goulburn Valley catchment area.

The Local Public Health Unit have also continued to provide contact tracing and case and outbreak management as part of the state-wide response to COVID-19.

Alongside this, we remain focused on improving our facilities which has seen the opening of several areas related to the redevelopments at the hospital in Graham Street in Shepparton. We are also grateful for additional funding being provided by the Victorian Government for a Youth Prevention and Recovery Centre, Early Parenting Centre and full redevelopment of our mental health facilities.

GV Health’s staff have again risen to the challenge in the last 12 months and have done an incredible job under very difficult circumstances at times.

I encourage everyone to look out for their family, friends and colleagues as we continue through the pandemic, unfortunately it’s not over but as a community we can work through it together.
