THIS year’s hotly anticipated OUTintheOPEN is in full swing, with the community joining together to celebrate diversity and partake in fun activities that are open to everyone.
The festival will run until Sunday November 13, with the Carnival Day extravaganza in the Queen’s Gardens occurring on Saturday, November 12.
The festival comprises of both free and paid events, with attendees encouraged to save the dates and buy their tickets before they sell out. Events are family friendly and there’s something to enjoy for everyone.

“Our opening night dinner at The Aussie was a great evening, we are so proud to be celebrating our 11th year of the festival,” festival co-convener, Damien Stevens-Todd.
“The Festival is about providing a safe space for the many diverse community members under the LGBTIQA+ banner, allies and supporters, and about having fun!”
This week will be full of dinners, morning teas, forums, radio shows, book readings, the Q+ Hub and a one trans-man show just to name a few of the wonderful activities.
Week two will feature an outdoor BBQ, a shared breakfast, dining with divas, rainbow storytime, a clothes swap event, glam drinks on the rooftop of Shepparton Art Museum and of course the main event, Carnival Day.
