THE Billabong Garden Complex Annual Potted Succulent Competition and Show is on again from Saturday, October 6 to Sunday, October 7, 2018. This year, the show will be held as part of the inaugural Billabong Garden Expo.
The expo is an extension of Billabong’s popular annual ‘Succulent Show’ and will provide the opportunity for the community to come together regardless of age, ability or cultural background to learn more about the joy of gardens and gardening and to promote the numerous benefits of horticulture therapy.
Billabong manager, Tracy Lamont said, “There will be something for everyone including displays, demonstrations, succulent show and potted succulent competition, giveaways and food.”
The free event will provide attendees the opportunity to ‘Ask an expert,’ with experts on hand to for attendees to learn more about kitchen gardens and growing healthy/sustainable gardens. Obtain ideas and inspiration from the sustainable display garden, learn from various demonstrations, learn more about the other garden related offerings locally and of course enter the popular annual ‘Potted Succulent’ competition, and/or vote on your favourite entry.
