The pandemic brought about a monumental shift in how we do business and interact with the rest of the world. Online sales increased severalfold and the corporate world grappled with the concept of working from home.
For a new legal firm, Jones & Mitchell Legal transitioned to working from home with relative ease. From their inception, directors, Loretta Mitchell and Matthew Jones, were adamant on having a business model that embraced technology to bring flexibility to their clients. While the pandemic reduced the number of face-to-face meetings, it was this business model that enabled Loretta and Matthew to continue serving the needs of their clients throughout the pandemic, without disruption.
“Having excellent systems has made a world of difference, it has enabled us to be mobile and, for the most part, a paperless office. This has really given our clients choice, 9 to 5 face to face meetings do not suit everyone”, said Matthew.
Coming out of other legal practices in the region, Matthew and Loretta joined forces two years ago and have gone from strength to strength ever since.
“The pandemic has caused a real boom in the property market not just for Shepparton, but regional Victoria in general, and I don’t think anyone really saw that coming when the lockdowns started in early 2020”, said Loretta.
For Loretta and Matthew, the property boom in Shepparton comes as no surprise.
“Shepparton is finally getting the kudos it deserves, this is a great place to live”, said Loretta and Matthew.
With that said, Loretta and Matthew are mindful that the pandemic has caused a lot of hardship for many, and with recent government assistance packages coming to an end, there will be difficult times ahead.
