The spotlight is on Shepparton.
With a windfall in the State budget, low unemployment rates, and a clearer future ahead for local businesses, we can look forward to a stronger economy in 2022/23 as we learn how to live with our “new normal.”
The spotlight is well and truly shining on Shepparton with a spend of more than $1.5B since I was elected in 2014. We received almost half a billion dollars in this year’s budget to expand our mental health care, set up an early parenting centre, improve train services, and see an upgrade to a specialist school.
Businesses are recovering thanks to the innovative measures they took in the past two years and the loyalty of local people supporting them during tough times. Our children have returned to school and our social calendars have once again opened up as we live alongside the virus.
The pandemic has had an impact on all of us and I want to remind everyone to reach out and ask for help if you are experiencing mental health issues. Help is available in the Shepparton electorate.
Together we will rebuild our community.
