The Apprenticeship Factory offers incentives to local businesses who employee hospitality trainees on a full-time basis thanks to funding from a Victorian Government initiative to try and help the sector bolster employment rates.

“We are looking for both suitable candidates to work in the hospitality industry along with host employers who are willing to take on these candidates,” said The Apprenticeship Factory CEO, Paula Ryan.

“We would love to hear from any businesses in the hospitality sector who would like to put on a trainee. Over a 12-month traineeship, there is approximately $10,000 in funding available.”

Georgia Williams has started a Certificate III in hospitality and is working full time as a valued member of The Milkbar team, thanks to The Apprenticeship Factory

“The opportunity to complete a Traineeship in hospitality and learn more about the industry has been amazing. I’ve felt really supported in my ability to excel in the role,” said Georgia.

The Apprenticeship Factory is committed to assisting businesses with their employment needs. They are passionate about giving local young people opportunities to start their careers in an apprenticeship or traineeship and support them into becoming skilled workers and valuable contributors to our community.

“Over the 12 months, we want to continue to support our current hosts, their apprentices and trainees to achieve positive outcome work towards helping businesses with the gaps in their organisations,” said Paula.

“We realise the importance of preparing the future workforce and we will continue to work with young people to get them work ready, as well as with employers to assist them where needed. We need to continue to create opportunities for our young people if our region is to continue to grow and do well.”
