While some of us may have extra time on our hands and are now spending more time at home, what better time than now to change up your place of living?

That doesn’t necessarily mean you need to rip down the walls and renovate your whole house, as that’s probably a bit too much work and isn’t exactly cheap to do. But you can redecorate and redesign in some fairly simple ways.

Change up your bedding

With the cooler weather settling in, bolder and darker colours are always welcome to make you feel warmer and cosier. Simply changing your bedspread can change up the whole look of your bedroom, with berry, terracotta, deep greens, dusty blues and pecan the popular colours of the season.

Add a throw

Throw blankets are ideal for the cooler months. They not only add texture and a pop of colour to your bed or lounge, but having them close by gives you the option to get extra snuggly and warm on those cold, rainy days or to add an extra layer of warmth during the nights.

Paint a feature wall

A bit daring, and possibly not for those who don’t like too much change, but a lick of paint can make such a huge difference to a room. Terracotta, navy blue and deep green are popular colours for feature walls this season and will definitely make an impact to a room.

Add greenery

Plants, plants, plants. Now is the perfect time to add some greenery to your home, especially if we’re spending a lot more time inside. Adding plants to the home is a great way to trick your brain into thinking you’re outside, and house plants also have some great health benefits as well!
