Jemmervale Designs has now outgrown the Business Centre and recently moved into The Power House, an historic building and much larger premises on the outskirts of Shepparton. Due to the heritage overlay they greatly utilised the services provided by Lisa Kubeil, Council’s investment facilitation coordinator to navigate all the building and planning approvals.

“We really did love our time at the Business Centre and although we are excited for our new growth, we will miss the business community there and the support from the team.

“The Greater Shepparton Business Centre has played such a vital role in the growth of our business. We would not be where we are today without our time there. The physical shed space was just what we needed, and we also really appreciated all the support from the amazing team that work there.

“Running a business in a regional town has been so wonderful as we have been able to build strong local relationships, many of which have come from our time at the Greater Shepparton Business Centre,” Jannah Tucker said.

A passion for beer, family and community has paid off for local brewers James Thomson and Rhys Porter – another local success story. Wildlife Brewing Co has been well received by locals and a growing regional craft brewing market. They have now relocated from Maude Street to a larger premises, 4-6 Williams Road, Shepparton. Their new premises required multiple permits across various Council departments and the boys didn’t want to waste time, so they utilised Lisa’s expertise to navigate the Council department processes so they had more time for brewing!

“Lisa played an integral role in the early stages of planning. She was able to pull together all the correct departments in the one meeting to get us some clear answers and direction,” said James Thomson.

“Council’s aim is to reduce the time it takes you to get the doors open, so you can get your business started, that’s where I come in. I meet up with you, discuss your business goals and help you along your business journey,” Lisa explained.

It is an exciting time for Greater Shepparton, many new businesses are opening, and existing businesses are growing.
