Geometry takes shape

BOUNDLESS enthusiasm for organic shapes in décor is taking form in something more angular and rigid: the square.
Fashion-conscious kitchens and bathrooms are following suit and decking out in quadrilateral tiles and designs.

Squares, despite their connotation with tradition and convention, do not have to be boring. This aesthetic, although simple, dabbles in both linear conformity and attractive displays of colour, glazes, and lovely rippled surfaces.

Inspiration online from Houzz or other design sites reveal that the simplest touches can be produced with incredible creation in mind.

Tiles are one household staple that have the benefit of having been improved upon over centuries. Increasingly, hip and dynamic squares will leave our walls and take form in tiled furniture. Think tiled benches, nightstands, or coffee tables.
