With construction booming in the Goulburn Valley and surrounding areas over the last few years, it has been busy times for Jarrod and Karli Sutherland of Quicklift Crane Hire.
Celebrating 25 years in business this year, Quicklift was established in October 1998 when the pair bought the first FRANNA pick & carry crane to Shepparton. The company has grown steadily over the last 25 years, adding more than 20 cranes to their fleet.
This year adding a new 40 tonne Franna pick and carry crane, Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 and Liebherr LTM1150-5.3 All Terrain cranes to help with their continued growth and improving the reliability of the fleet.

“The new additions to the fleet have been fantastic. We recently took delivery of a new Franna AT40 and we are pretty excited to have it out and working. The 40 tonne Franna will allow us to pick and carry larger loads, and a lot of our bigger clients want greater margins of safety when lifting on their sites. We currently run eight Frannas in the fleet. The Liebherr cranes are also very reliable, have great lifting capacities and safety features, so we are gradually upgrading our older cranes, replacing them with Liebherr where we can.” said Jarrod.
Business partners and husband and wife, Jarrod and Karli celebrated 25 years of Quicklifts with their team. Acknowledging none of this would be possible without them.
“Karli and I are fortunate enough to have had some of our team with us for most of this time. We are lucky to have a great operations team, with Dion Canty celebrating 20 years with Quicklift last year, and Gary “Wiz” Gerada and Chris Shannon celebrating 20 years next year. We’ve got a great team, good people right across the board and we genuinely appreciate everything they do for the business,’ Jarrod said.
