Local firm invests in state-of-the-art equipment.

SPC Factory Sales has been helping Goulburn Valley residents save on their shopping bills since 1998.

Located in the heart of Shepparton, this iconic direct-to-public factory outlet’s vast warehouse offers access to products from SPC and other top Australian brands at up to 70 per cent off normal retail prices.

Everything from locally grown tomatoes to everyday household items such as pet food and dishwashing tablets are available at a fraction of supermarket prices.

Beyond marking its 25th birthday, 2023 has been a significant year for this growing family-run business.

After opening stores in Bayswater in 2014 and Geelong last year under the Food Factory Sales banner, it has expanded its storage capacity with a new 80-pallet freezer room at its Shepparton base.

The state-of-the-art new freezer room takes SPC Factory Sales’ total storage capacity to nearly 1000 pallets and was installed by local refrigeration specialist Leamon Refrigeration.

Bringing frozen-goods storage totally in-house has considerably improved the business’ logistical efficiencies while reducing its power consumption and impact on the environment.

“It has also allowed us to centralise distribution of chilled and frozen goods to our other stores,” says Sam Prentice, who has owned and run SPC Factory Sales with his father Andrew since 2012. “It gives us a lot more flexibility and makes our operation more efficient.”
