DREAMING of updating your tired bathroom? Then look no further than the terrazzo and porcelain terrazzo-look tiles.

These tiles, which were named after their emergence hundreds of years ago in romantic Venice, first caught the eyes and hearts of Australians during the Art Deco era of the 1920s and 30s.

Since this golden age, this trend never goes too far from fashion.

Interior experts have been tracking the movements returning popularity that has been demonstrated by a massive swell of searches on Houzz for ‘terrazzo bathroom’ inspiration.

Christie Wood, strategic designer at Beaumont Tiles describes terrazzo as, “A playful expansion of the concrete industrial style that has been popular for some time now. It embraces colour and offers a truly bespoke finish that can be adapted to suit different home styles.”
